The name Paris evokes visions of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, couples in love and of course STYLE. Playing on Savannah’s French heritage we styled her portrait session by focusing on that typical nonchalant sophistication; the women of Paris are known for. There is a certain je ne sais quoi to the french girl style that has made it an iconic look and it just felt like a perfect match to capturing Savannah’s confidence and exceptional charm.
To explain the french girl style would be to describe a women; just too complex to describe in one post. The details and beauty of it is in the subtleties of it all. It is definitely not only about the fashion , even though that is usually amazing ! ; it is more to do with how they carry themselves, the elegance of the way they move and the sophistication of their lifestyle that inspires so many girls to want to be the ultimate Parisian women. When I first met Savannah she seemed a bit shy but as we started with hair & make up the true Parisian emerged and I could see her confidence shine through as we progressed to the more sophisticated look books.
Paris is always a good idea. –Audrey Hepburn as Sabrina Fairchild in Sabrina
French girls are know for those long super model legs and have aren’t afraid to where heals with casual outfits to show them off even more. Savannah not only has the classic french features but those legs go on for days and what is more nonchalant chic then a blazer paired with trusted pair of blue jeans.
No Parisian inspired Editorial would be complete with the iconic LBD which is associated with the most famous of french style icons , the famed Coco Chanel. A timeless classic and staple in any true fashionista’s closet.
So it is with these wise words from Coco Chanel that I leave you to dream about Paris in the spring time…..
Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. – Coco Chanel
