A Breath of Autumn : Country Grace
Nobody can deny there is something magical that happens in Autumn. When the light softens and sparkles through the rusty coloured leaves a breath of splendour ignites the world around you to transform it into a beautiful scene begging to be capture through a camera lens.
Surrounded by the changing colours of the season Johannes & Marika said their I DOs at Langkloof Roses a local wedding venue known for its graceful rustic charm; just set a perfect scene for this graceful country wedding.
Marika’s Bridal Style for the day was elegant and vintage inspired; with some wonderful pops of deep reds to capture the autumn colours used for the wedding. Her satin gown accessorized with touches of pearls and was definitely radiating the glamour and refined taste of Grace Kelly.
Even though the style of the wedding might have had a touch of vintage the couple decided to break tradition and do a first look before their guests arrived. Giving them some wonderful alone time before the day started.
I always recommend this experience to clients due to the stress it releases before the official parts of the day starts. I find couples are much more relaxed and it makes for extra special moments when they feel un rushed during their couple session.
Quick to laughter and ready to change their lives for ever these two had a romantic strolled around the estate before their ceremony. The warm autumn sun and all the magic in the air, with the ambiance of change, was a fantastic way for these two to start their lives together.
Surrounded by the beauty of the red and golden colour palette, Marika’s grace and Jo’s dashing good looks; the handsome couple looked like they walked straight off the set of an old Hollywood movie.
The wind began to blow
And shook the trees
Heads turned up in unison
Witnessing a season of change
The leaves were freed from their branches
Floating and swinging through the air
Painting the sky with golden colors
Dancing their way to the ground
The wind blew again
And the trees shook
Whispers in the wind:
“It’s good luck to catch a leaf!“

Touches of Marsala & deep reds highlighted the refined sophistication of the day.
A beautiful touches to their day in remembrance of Johannes father was communion at the end of their ceremony and a branding ceremony representing the infinity of the rings they wear as a married couple.
The stars hang upon the dark emptiness
They are sparks of light in this black and gold autumn
