Fashion Wedding : Baby Love

I cried , I laughed and I snapped away while surrounded by grace, love and beauty during this Fashion Wedding in Pretoria this past weekend. It might be a Samantha thing; but our love for couture, glitter and being very sentimental about all the little details involved in planning a wedding definitely made me fall in love with Samantha & Tjaart’s special day.

Samantha being a part time make up artist , fashionista and just beautiful and graceful woman inside & out, absolutely glowed throughout the day. Sam was responsible for her own make up on her big day {something I usually wouldn’t recommend for brides to do } but considering how absolutely gorgeous she looked I’m sure everyone would agree it was the right choice.

Love the Dress

Her beautiful lace gown was made to perfection by Rina from Catherine’s Collections . The attention to detail that she put into this dress was astounding and it really was a wonderful experience to be able to photograph Sam’s final dress fitting and her mom Lischel’s reaction when it was all revealed.

A true Love Story never ENDS

Sam & Tjaart are high school sweethearts and have been inseparable ever since. Their love is deeply routed in their faith and respect for each other. Together they have grown up into these two wonderful people who are graceful, humble and loyal. You can see it in the way they treat each other and how they treat the people around them.

Throughout the day there was moments of such deep faith and love I couldn’t help but get a bit overwhelmed myself and I can honestly say I bawled a lot at this wedding. From the moment they made time to sit down an pray together before walking down the aisle , to Sam praying with her bridesmaids just before I headed down to the ceremony area and then also the wonderfully emotional moment of worship through song during their ceremony. Grace shined through Sam & Tjaart as they stood in front of their family & friends to say their vows in front of God.

A glimpse at the festivities

A few weeks before the wedding Samantha shared some very special news with me that they were expecting a little bundle of joy and that she would be 16 weeks pregnant by the wedding date. She also planned for the cake cutting to include a baby gender reveal as part of the festivities. Needless to say I was poised and ready to capture their expressions as it happened but Tjaart’s reaction and sheer joy was absolutely priceless as he saw the cake colour for the first time.

A very big congratulations to Mrs & Mrs Henning and your little ” bulletjie” on the next chapter of your story and I can’t wait to see and tell more of these chapters as the years go by.
