Editorial Portrait Session | Teresa | Cape Town
An Editorial Portrait Session for the gorgeous and kind-hearted Teresa here in Somerset West, Cape Town. Every year I try to donate a session like this to the Helen Harder Foundation for their annual fundraising evening. They auction off items to raise money for awareness and support of young ladies who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Please go and read more about this worthy cause. Here is a little bit more about the foundation and their aims :
” To offer inspiration, provide financial assistance and offer concrete advice and support to young women under 40 who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. To continuously raise awareness, and to provide primary health care education relating to breast cancer. ”
However, for this session, our focus was only on one wonderful lady, Teresa, a loyal supporter of the foundation and a quick-witted, charming and good-hearted lawyer from the Northern Suburbs. Teresa had a clear vision of what kind of look she wanted from her portrait session and together we dreamt up the styling, setting and simple elegance you see in her session.
Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams ~ Ashley Smith
“The strength of a woman is not measured by the impact that all her hardships in life have had on her; but the strength of a woman is measured by the extent of her refusal to allow those hardships to dictate her and who she becomes.”
